An elegant cube, with the technology to bring to light the hidden beauty of ancient natural materials. During the Dutch Design Week 2014 Van der Kallen presented the start of his Klube-project with a first concept.
The KLUBE consists of a wooden framework containing panels of translucent granite. Slices of natural stone, sawn thin enough for light to find its unique way through it. Magnetic connections take care of the low-voltage lighting which unveils the hidden treasures. With only a few KLUBES, users can create the most enchanting light objects: a room divider, counter or table. KLUBES come in various dimensions, finishes and colors (both wood and granite). The uses are endless, the user determines.
